According to my plans, what helpful of protein powder should I draw from and when should I steal it?
I'll give you some background information beforehand I begin.
I'm a 400 meter runner in track that hits a 51 and does cross-country to stay surrounded by shape. Today, my cross-country season ended and starting Monday I'm going to gear up for the 400 to break 50 during the season.
My track season starts in February, so I own 3 months until then, which should be enough time to procure geared up for it.
My work-out schedule is as follows...
Monday & Wednesday mornings - 3~8 miles (keep the endurance intact)
Tuesday & Thursday mornings - A track work-out designed for the 400 meter race.
Depending on how my coach sees fit, the work-outs might change days (Change my workouts to Mondays and Wednesdays and distance runs to Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Anyways, immediately comes the crucial part...
Every single afternoon (Saturdays and Sundays are the only breaks) I will do bulk lifting to gain muscle and swim 1~2.4 miles (I could do it, so don't assume I don't have what it takes to do so).
The problem is I don't know when I should rob the protein in the afternoon... Should I do weights, take the protein and next swim, or should I do the weights, swim and then take the proten, OR should I swim, do weights and after take the protein? There are many variation but I want to know which one will give me optimal results.
Finally, I want to know which protein powder I should take to greatly benefit my abs (I already enjoy a strong core, I'm just working on the lower abs to get the complete six-pack) and upper body muscles.
If you could cooperation me to the best protein powder available for my needs, then that would be greatly appreciated.
Please and thank you.

hey, to be honest as you are an athlete and train dynamically you will need to consume a very amount of calories if your objective is to gain weight! As a 400m runner i assume that you do not require to gain much weight! ideally whey protein when taken in first hour of finishing weights is ideal time to consume( optimum window for protein uptake). If you swim first later you will be relatively fatigued when you do weights after, so recommendation is to do weights when you are fresh and then pilfer protein and swim after!! Also it is important to eat a proper teatime about an hour after weights!! myprotein.co.uk is a good site and is importantly commended bt athletes!! Also if you use the code MP98291 you will get 5% off!
Hope that help, if you have any more questions i would be jubilant to answer them!! Source(s): strength and conditioning fanatic!!
