Are here any down sides to using protein powder?

I've used protein powder before and had no problems. I don't know of any agreed 'side effects' or any serious health problems that anyone has have from using it. But I did just want to ask first, to make sure. I resembling the high quality protein surrounded by powder form that I can just mix with milk or wet. I know that it definitely would require me to drink a lot of hose down, which I usually do anyway on a daily basis (about 64+ ounces on some days). So excluding it possibly being bad for the kidneys if I didn't drink plenty water, are there any other set effects?
Answers:
Aside from ingesting lots of calories...no.

Note: If you don't work out, the calories will turn to fat...even though you are eating them as a protein...your body will convert them to round for fuel storage.

So...make sure you hit the gym if you're going on a protein powder diet.
NO.Used it but MAKE SURE u eat similar to a normal person too.Still drink healthy normal meal like a normal character.Dont forget that and please don't overdose. You might experience anal leakage though.LOL...It's true with CERTAIN BRANDS. Source(s): gym guys are material guys
No you'll simply crap more.
None that I know of, if you are healthy. People next to kidney disease should avoid taking in too much protein.
I found, other than the taste, in that were no side-effects.

To remedy the taste issue I mixed it next to fruit, such as strawberries or blueberries. Bananas aren't bad either, but since they're benign of "chalky," I'd only add them if I be also adding one of the previously mentioned fruits.
I gain weight from just whey protein powder mixed near water or skim milk. I stopped taking it 7 months ago and started drinking more skim milk and eating more fish and chicken. I go from 221 lbs to 192 lbs, with no loss in strength.
Take only the recommended dosage, don't pocket more thinking you'll get quicker results. Take anything and everything in moderation but you should be fine, I do it adjectives the time.
