What does whey protein powder do for you?
I weight lift. But how much lifting should I do per sunshine with taking protein powder? I know it adds protein which turns into muscle beside work, but how much work should I do? I want to gain muslce with using it, not fat.

you should only weighht move up 3 alternate days a week...take it only on those days...it provides the prime ingredients for the body to build the muscle..
gaining depends on calotric intake, tho' types of nytrients influnce it alot.
Eat clean. No Junk.
General teachings is 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight.
Eat small meals every 2,3 hours with a 40/40/20% ratio of protein/carbs/fat.
More carbs AM, more protein PM
Have a whey shake b4 & after you pull. Thats when you need it. 20gs B4 to give your muscles building blocks & fuel. 40-60g After to aid contained by recovery.
Incld 20-40gs slow carbs b4. 40-80 fast carbs after.
There's a myriad of lifting routines you can do: 2 a days/6 times a week, every body cut 2 or three times a week, push/pull days.

I don't reccommend lifting every time for a weight gaining routine. I find the best for this is a 2-1-2-2.
two days on, sooner or later off, two days on, two days off.
Keep your weights cumbersome so that 5 to 8 reps is difficult to complete.
There is one true addage that has always be true:
EAT BIG, LIFT BIG, BE BIG!
