Any tips on stomaching chocolate whey protein powder?

After months of supplement-free weight training with noticable but dissapointing results, I finally give in and used my graduation money to buy some creatine and whey protein powder. The creatine tasted okay, but the chocolate-flavored protein mix reminded me of a chunky white pills I took when I was little, mixed with some of the nastiest, dollar-store-day-after-valentines's day-chocolate specified to man. I tried a scoop with 4 oz of milk close to the instructions said and I just couldn't finish it; it took a lot of will power freshly to keep it down. Later I tried a scoop near a big cup of water in hopes of diluting the essence, but that just made it worse -as well as give me more to drink- and I poured more than half of it down the drain. I've heard of some folks popping it in a blender with bananas, milk, and even peanut butter. I'm not wasting this powder even if I hold to eat it with a spoon...but prefferably, I'd resembling something that won't have me praying to the porcelain God. Any tips?

I know someone who drinks a shake with whey protein contained by it every morning. He mixes it with milk, bananas and sometimes whatever other fruit is going impossible in the house. He doesn't measure it ...he basically sort of eye balls it. I would suggest giving it a try.
